I am a 24 year old hopeful! I have always struggled with my self image due to weight. I am excited to start this journey towards a healthier me.
I have an amazing husband, Ben and a Bichon Frise, Cassie who support me (especially when it means a walk for Cassie!)
I was an athlete in high school and I enjoy working out, I just need the extra push!
Ashely,
We can go to their running group on Sat morning….let’s make this happen maybe early fall so it won’t hotter than blue blazes in DC while we are being tourists
You have got to be one of the sweetest young women i have met in a very long time. You are doing awesome….you are driven and you will achieve all that you set your mind to…..my sister would love for us to come to Alexandria and she would be happy to be our tour guide in DC

GO BLUE
This week my goal is to work on balancing my life with my new routine. We talked tonight at our meeting and often I find that I am stressed trying to get everything in my life to fit in! I sadly have also not been adding up my calories until later at night before I go to bed. I am finding that everyday I am way under on the amount of calories I need to consume. My other goal is to get back to counting my calories as the day progresses. I can’t let myself fall into this bad habit. It is a new week that will bring new challenges and i am looking forward to it!
Your doing so good and I’m so proud of you! Your a wonderful friend and I’m so glad to have met you! I look forward to having as a friend from this point forward! Keep up the good work!
Ashely,
I would love to meet your husband some day. He is a lucky man to have such an awesome young women for a wife. You are doing such a great job. Keep up the good work.
I am really enjoying getting to know both you and your mother. Thank you for sharing her with me
Kathleen
PS we are going to look so hot when we go to DC….but of course we will be appropriately dressed LOL
Ash,
I really hope that you are able to get some good quality sleep soon. We miss you and we need you to help keep us moving in the right direction. You’re a powerhouse. I know that you can overcome this crazy sleep thing. Take care and I will hopefully see you tomorrow.
Holly
Hi Ashley,
I hope you are able to get some sleep soon so you are back kicking our butts:) I miss you!!!
Hugs,
Shannon
Thank-you for all your concerns! I am feeling much better and I have been able to sleep the last two nights. My neighbor has also been sick and now that I am feeling better, I have been watching her two children. I am staying busy!
I missed Wednesday’s workout this week, but I do have to say that for some reason on Tuesday and Thursday while we were working out, it did not feel as if it was 7am already! I continue to feel my body getting stronger and stronger! I am loving it! Even though I push myself hard, I feel like I still have so much to offer after the workouts are over. It is kind of like an hour of burning muscles are just not enough now.
Tuesday I have a stair stepper date with Rick. I have not been trained on the stair steppers yet! I look forward to it!
Saturday, Ben and I are going to the Brad Paisley concert thanks to a friend who won tickets and can not go to the concert. I am so looking forward to spending time with Ben this weekend!
I am so glad you are feeling better, you are doing great and I can tell you are getting stronger and thinner, You look great!
Have a great time at the concert, and just park farthest away, hehe
See you on Monday!!!
Green Team Jen
I am sitting here while the kids are sleeping. I am working on my finale essay for the finale book that Tina asked us to write and it is hitting me… we are almost done with this competition. Things will have to change again and I am starting to be worried. Am I confident enough to keep my journey progressing on my own?
Ashley – it is a lot to think about and we have all kinds of new tools to help us. I think you will be surprised at your renewed strengths!
No problem about the patches hunny! I just got a new prescription called in, so I’m excited to get more patches! I cannot believe what a difference they make! I can offically say I LOVE Flextor patches!
Your doing such a wonderful job and I’m so proud of you and all your accomplishments! You have become such a great friend and I appreciate all you do for me as well!
Ashley, You are doing such a GREAT job…I think you are just so inspiring…You positive attitude is so refreshing….THANK YOU:)
Hugs,
Shannon
Ashley,
You are doing great. You are constantly working hard and you have great results to show for it.
Ashley,
I also feel the same way. It has truly been an honor to become your friend. You are such a great person with a wonderful spirit. I’m glad we are in season #3 together. Keep up the go work.
Holly
It is Sunday and now there are only four weeks left!
I wish that we had another 15 weeks to go. I love seeing the progress that I and all the other contestants have made. I can only imagine what we could accomplish with 15 more weeks!
Sundays have become my day to prepare for the rest of the week. I love knowing that I have food prepared for myself and today I even fixed some special dinners for Ben. (Nothing bad, just too much sodium for my liking). I am still finding that I don’t have enough time during my days. My list of “things to do” is forever long. I need to do better at planning out my days. I do have to say that getting up at 4:30AM helps me accomplish a lot more than normal.
I am looking forward to the week ahead. I pray that God blesses everyone and that anyone who is suffering with pain in any way, that they find relief! I love you all and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday!
Hang in there little sister, you are doing fabulous and I am so proud of everything you have accomplished! I am here for you anytime you need a friend. Thank you for pushing me so hard in workouts
Luv ya lots,
Richelle
It has been another week! I am sitting here thinking about that and my mind is going crazy at the thought of how much I have accomplished and how little time is actually left for me to push myself to the front. I love this competition!
This week has been a learning curve for me! I am starting to find myself again and I am feeling great. I have a lot of hard decisions in front of me, but with a lot of prayer, I’ll be okay. I am also talking to Sarah tomorrow. I am looking forward to that!
Training is going great. This week I have worked on mastering the stair stepper machine. I did 191 flights of stairs in 70 minutes. It was a great workout! My next goal is to hit 300 flights of stairs in 65 minutes. I think I can bump it up, especially since I was able to talk to Tina while stepping. I am so glad that Rick was able to show me the advantage that, that machine has to offer! I have truly been blessed.
Today I spent a good majority of the day setting up for a garage sale. I am selling all my clothes that have become to big for me. I do not want to hold on to them. It is time for them to find new homes. I also did a little garage sale shopping myself and I look forward to the day when I will be able to wear the clothes that I purchased. They are still a little small and would probably fit Richelle. Someday SOON I will be there!
Well it is late, see you at the gym tomorrow! Have a great night!
You’re doing so awesome! You’ll get into those clothes and look fabulous. Thank you for being such an encouragement to me, it definatly helps on weeks like this one. I’ve been blessed to meet you in this program, and hopefully have gained a life long friend. Have a great week, it’s almost over
Ash,
I know that we have talked quite a bit this week. Please know that I am always available to listen. Our weight is not the only stress in our lives. Stay positive and things will be bright for you!
Holly
Ashley, you are an awesome woman! Not only are you an amazing competitor, but you have the biggest heart ever! I’m so honored to be your friend! I never knew my quiet, shy little friend was such a good leader and fierce contender….
Thanks to everyone in my life who are helping me to not only deal with the issue of weight loss, but other issues that life has to offer. I know that stress can be a major contributor to retaining weight and I am doing my best to not have the massive amount of stress in my life.
Tomorrow is a big day in my journey. I have been struggling with pain in my shins (one major stress) and this week I woke up in pain. SO, I decided to cave in and go to the doctor at FWO. This was a very hard decision for me to make because I was so disappointed at the thought that the mini marathon might not be an option for me. But, I have learned a lot from Tina. Even though she doesn’t think I am listening, I know that I need to take care of my body and respect what it is telling me. (Even if I don’t want to hear it!) I am grateful for my decision and look forward to ending the waiting game tomorrow when I go see the doctor.
A shout out to all my fellow FWSW contestants. You guys are all doing great!
Ashley,
I am so disappointed for you. I know how much you wanted to do this MINI. You are such a fighter. You determination and drive is amazing. I really hope that your leg heals and you can put that silly stress fracture behind you. You are doing great and you are very much still in this contest. You are so close to the front runners. Knowing you, it will be a come from behind victory!! No matter what, you’re a winner in my book!
Holly
The competition is coming to an end and I am soaking up every minute that I can up. I love this competition and ALL the people involved. I know now who I am as a person and I am confident in that! Each day I know I am growing!
I am so very proud of you!!! I know you will keep me on track, cause we will not let each other get back into the old way of being. I cannot tell you what an awesome change I have seen in you, both inside and out! We will be better, healthier, high flying, hot women for the rest of our lives! I love you!!!!
This competition has come to an end! It has been an awesome journey and I have enjoyed every single part!! I wish it would all last forever but now I know that I need to step it up on my own and finish this journey! I want to be able to accomplish my goal by the end of October so that I look HOT on my birthday!
I love everyone and wish you all the best of luck! We will defiantly keep in touch!
