EJ

E.J. Whitney has been training athletes and individuals since 2003. He graduated from Ball State University in 2004.  He majored in Exercise Science with minors in Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness for the Older Adult.  During his time at Ball State he was a Fitness Instructor at Elmcroft Assisted Living, where he leg group exercises.  He worked for Professional Sports Specific Training in Sturgis as a Trainer.  He also volunteered over 90 hours at Sturgis High School as assistant strength coach.

After graduating from Ball State, E.J. moved to Indianapolis where he worked at Acceleration Indiana as a Sports Specific Trainer / Assistant Manager.  He then came to Spiece in January of 2006 to work as an Exercise Physiologist.  He enjoys working with older adults as well as athletes of all ages.

    Thank you for the last 3 laps around the gym. I really didn’t think I had that much energy left. I was starting to think that I wasn’t going to make the 2 hour mark, but I think some of your energy might have rubbed off on me. Thanks for believing in me, and pushing me to do my best!

    Dude, you really made me hurt; and I mean hurt, to levels I would have expected my body would faint. Yet I managed to pull through.

    Thank you, thank you, Thank you. (and I could write this for a few days and would still not be enough…) See you around, since Spice is my second home… ;-)

    Lao Tzu said about 2600 years ago that:
    The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
    And another thing that he said was:
    If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.
    So we have done them both took a first few steps and changed directions to avoid ending up in a not so good place for our health, let’s keep this up… and make it a life time change…

    First of al than you for all the encouragement and all the great support on my low days.
    This has been a blast, almost as painful as boot camp, but only better; got to sleep in my own bed.

    Love the energy you keep providing…thought my legs and arms were going to collapse today…need to start working the countdown…I know I can last a few more seconds if I am yelling…

    I know I turn super bright red. It’s not just when I workout though, I’m like a walking thermometer, just look at my cheeks and you’ll know if it’s hot because they turn bright red. That’s just a way for you to know that I’m working hard!! Thanks for kicking our butt.

    A few times today I heard your comments and Tina’s coments and it helped me a bunch! Each day, I am trying to do wall squats a bit longer and a bit “deeper” and it seems to be helping my knees!
